Acthar is a prescription medicine to be used as a short-term, add-on therapy in the event of symptoms suddenly worsening (flare) for rheumatoid arthritis, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Some cases may require maintenance therapy.

What you can expect

Your healthcare provider sends the Acthar prescription to the Acthar Specialty Pharmacy. The Acthar Specialty Pharmacy then works with your insurance company.

  • Get any information they need from you
  • Discuss your treatment costs, coverage, and injection training

2. The Acthar Specialty Pharmacy calls to schedule delivery
  • You MUST confirm delivery with the Acthar Specialty Pharmacy to receive Acthar
  • If you miss the call, please return the call toll-free at 1-888-435-2284. Be sure to return calls promptly to avoid delays in delivery of Acthar

  • Your Acthar prescription arrives in a refrigerated container
  • You must sign for your delivery
